Installing a Kodi Build is the fastest way to get all the best Kodi add-ons installed without all the hassle of searching for elusive repositories. Sometimes it can be a real problem trying to get an add-on installed and even harder to find a working repo for that add-on when it needs to be updated. In short, trying to create the perfect home entertainment setup can be more trouble than it’s worth. But with Kodi Builds, you can install all of the best add-ons in one shot and the team that maintains the build takes care of ensuring the sources used for each add-on are available when it’s time to update.
When using any of the builds or apps from any of my article, be sure to be using a high-quality VPN. Most of the developers of these apps and builds are not concerned with your privacy. They write the apps to do what they do, and often these apps are leaky with your data. No worries, just install a VPN on your device and make sure it automatically connects when your device boots. Instant peace-of-mind.
The biggest problem you have now is trying to figure out which one of the awesome Kodi Builds you will install. All of the builds on my list are great. Any of these builds will give you a complete streaming media experience, but there is a little bit of thought that needs to go into choosing the perfect Kodi Build for your device.
The main thing to consider when choosing a Kodi Build is the size of the build. Different devices have different amounts of available memory to store all the add-ons installed by the build. I always look at a build from the perspective of using an Amazon Fire TV Stick. Not only is the Amazon Fire TV Stick the most popular Kodi device in the world, but it also happens to be a low-memory device. So, it makes sense to consider that when making my list.
How to Install a Kodi Build
These builds are all compatible with Kodi 18.1 at the time of this writing. Due to the incompatibility of Kodi 18.2 with most builds, I am going to stay on 18.1 until it’s sorted out. You should, too.
Some of the builds on my list are installed directly from a repository and some use a wizard to install the build. Either way, I will lay out the basic steps to install a build here.
- Open Kodi and click on the settings gear icon at the top left of the screen.
- Go to System Settings -> Expert Mode -> Add-ons.
- ON the right side of the screen, turn on Unknown Sources. This ensures you will be able to install third-party add-ons.
- When the warning box pops up, click ‘Yes’.
- Now go back to the Kodi home screen, and click on the Settings icon again.
- From here, go to File Manager -> Add Source.
- Click where it says <None> and then enter the URL shown for the build in the chart below.
- Give the source any name you like in the bottom field on the screen ‘OK’.
- Back to the Kodi home screen, scroll down and click Add-ons.
- Click on the Package Installer Icon at the top left corner. It looks like a little open box.
- Select Install from Zip File -> Source you added above -> Name of zip file.
- Wait for the Repo or Add-on Installed notification box to appear at the top right side of the screen.
- If the build is installed from a repo, then select Install from repository from the Package Installer screen and choose the repo that you just installed.
- If the build is installed using a wizard, then go to My add-ons -> Program Add-ons and open the wizard you just installed.

Titanium Kodi Build
Titanium Kodi Build tops this particular list because it is the smallest. But, in addition to being super memory-friendly, it is packed with all the add-ons anyone could possibly need. Some of the add-ons that come pre-installed are Neptune Rising, Bob Unleashed, Goodfellas, The Pyramid, Limitless IPTV, Placenta, Cartoon Crazy, Toons-R-Us, Gears TV, AdultHideout, Planet MMA, Mobdina, Sports Hub, UK Turk Playlists and a lot more.
Titanium Build also has add-ons pre-installed for most popular pay IPTV services, so you have a paid subscription, you can just log into the appropriate add-on and have a seamless experience. Also, Titanium Build pulls super-stable streams from the likes of Exodus, Covenant and some of the other popular add-ons.
Lobo Kodi Build ranks high on my list not only because it is also very small, but it is also one of the fastest builds I tested. Available from the One Nation repo, it is very well suited for devices with limited memory such as the Amazon Fire TV Stick. While it is a little bigger than Titanium Build, it performs much faster than Titanium in some respects.
Since Lobo Build was only recently released, all of the scrapers and pre-installed add-ons are updated and pulling solid sources. The speed of fetching the links is also very good compared to some of the other builds. If you are familiar with the Ares build, you will see a very familiar interface with Lobo
Lobo Build has a nice sports section that offers live sports and contains a separate category for Pay-Per-View events. This made Lobo Build a strong contender for 1st place on this list since live sports content can be difficult to get.
Streamline Build is one of the best new builds out there. There are versions available for Kodi 17.x all the way up to 18.2 Leia. This build, unlike many of the other builds out there, installs and runs fine on version 18.2 of Kodi. Some of the other builds have compatibility issues that are still being worked out.
Streamline Build is installed using the Whiz Kid Wizard which makes it simple to install and update this build. Streamline is compact enough to run on even the most memory-starved devices such as the Amazon Fire Stick. But this also means that it runs even better on devices that have lots of memory.
Streamline is also packed with tons of the most popular add-ons for Kodi. Exodus Redux, The Magic Dragon, SportsDevil, Rising Tides, Yoda, Maverick TV are all pre-installed as well as lots of other add-ons for sports, live TV and movies.
Turbo Build is definitely one of the best Kodi Builds available today. This build is particularly good if you are using Kodi on your PC. The build weighs in around 260MB and it is very fast and stable. The default skin for Turbo Build is reminiscent of Kodi Jarvis, so if you are the nostalgic type, this would be a good build for you.
Turbo Build is located in the Turboj repo and you can install it using the Turboj TV Wizard. A normal and a lite version are available, so if you have a Fire Stick, then I recommend going for the lite version.
The available categories of media are TV shows, Sports, Live TV, Kids, Music, and Apps.
No Limits Magic Build
Everyone knows by now that No Limits Magic is one of my all-time favorite builds. It might not be the smallest or the fastest build out there. But it is consistent and very well maintained. While some of the other builds have eventually started having errors updating some of the add-ons, No Limits Magic Build always has the right repos and they are alive for updates. This is one of the most important things for me.
All of the most popular add-ons are pre-installed and the slick interface makes getting to the content quick and easy. The installation of this build is done from the No Limits Wizard and there are several servers available for the install. There are also normal and lite versions as well as adult and non-adult versions.
Kudos to the No Limits Magic team for one of the tightest builds on the planet.
The Durex Build was one of the best builds out there and ranks right up there with my favorite No Limits Magic Build. But the Durex build has been discontinued. That’s where Xanax Build comes in. Featuring an almost identical interface and look, Xanax is a direct replacement for the Durex Build.
Xanax Build comes complete with all the best Kodi Add-ons such as Exodus Redux, Maverick TV, and much more. You will be sure to have access to most any sort of streaming media you might be in the mood for. It’s not too large to use on your Amazon Fire TV devices and is one of my preferred builds for the Fire Stick.
Xontech Light Build
If IPTV is your thing, then Xontech Light Build is your answer. This lightweight Kodi Build focuses is on IPTV service primarily. This build is available from the AJ repository and more specifically it is installed using the AJ Wizard. Since the AJ Wizard is also used to install many other builds, you will have to find Xontech Light. It is located under the category Paul’s Builds.
There are normal and light versions of Xontech Light available. While the interface and offerings are generally the same as most other full-featured builds, the Live TV section is particularly well populated with Live TV, Sports, PPV, etc. If you are a live sports enthusiast, you may have just found your perfect build.
Equinox Build is one of the most full-featured builds you can find. With lots of sections such as movies, Tv shows, Sports, 24/7, Kids zone, documentary and much more. Also, if you are a sports fan, you will find a very well populated menu of both live and on-demand sports content.
Equinox build is installed from the Genie TV repo and the default skin for this build is also Equinox. I don’t recommend this build for the Fire Stick due to its size. But for most other devices, including other Fire TV devices, the performance is awesome.
Atomic Reborn Build
Atomic Reborn Build is an updated version of the old Atomic Build. It is most well-known for its huge content of 4K video content. The skin and the fonts are very stunning and it has an easy-to-use sliding horizontal menu to make accessing your favorite content simple. There are also widgets used in the interface to help bring as much content to the interface as possible. The content is pulled from all the best sources and add-ons including Neptune Rising, Placenta, The Pyramid, Prometheus, Maverick, Monster Munch, and Buckys to name a few. The sources are updated regularly so you can be sure you will always get the freshest content.
Atomic Reborn is installed from the Misfit Mods repo and uses the Misfit Mod Wizard.
Everyone has their own requirements for the “perfect” build. It’s really tough to pin down the build that meets all your needs, but a good start is narrowing it down to builds that are the size you need for your device. I hope this list helps you make that crucial decision. Each build has its own skin and design, so have fun playing around and discovering your new build. And, most of all, enjoy all the great streaming media that these builds have to offer.
