How to Install BeeTV on Amazon Fire TV Devices

BeeTV is an Android app that offers movies and TV shows on-demand and in HD.  One of the reasons I am featuring this app is that it is fully Fire TV compatible.  This means that it works great with the Fire TV remote control.

If you are familiar with other streaming apps such as Terrarium TV or Titanium TV, you will already be familiar with most of the features of BeeTV.  BeeTV has a slick interface that is very intuitive to use.  Even the most novice user will be watching movies and TV shows quickly after installation.  You can also use your Trakt account with BeeTV to keep track of all your favorites and watched history.  If you don’t have a Trakt account, you can learn how to sign up for a free account by reading my article How to use with Kodi Add-Ons.  That article references Kodi, but the steps are the same for creating an account on Trakt.

Your IP is: Your Connection

Stop your ISP and your government from spying on your activity.  Use a VPN to protect your privacy.  A VPN is an essential tool when you are using any free or low-cost streaming application or service.  Especially if you are using a jailbroken Fire TV or Fire Stick or Android box.  ALWAYS use a VPN if you want the best streaming experience, the best selection of media and don't want your ISP to slow you down or shut you down.  I recommend IPVanish VPN for all my clients and I use it on all my devices.

BeeTV is available for download and installation from the Jailbreak App Vault.  This app makes it easy for you to get the latest apps without the hassle of having to search all over the Internet for them.  I’ve already done that for you.  If you don’t have the App Vault installed, just follow my tutorial How to Install the Jailbreak App Vault to get started.

Installing BeeTV

Click on the icon for the Jailbreak App Vault.  It will be in your apps and the icon looks like this.

If you have already been using the Jailbreak App Vault, then my code will already be entered into the code field.  Check to be sure it is correct, and if it isn’t, then enter the code 47356537

Once you are sure the code is correct, press CONTINUE to enter the Jailbreak App Vault.

You will see BeeTV on the list. Click on the download icon and BeeTV will begin downloading.

You can see the download progress.

When the download has completed, the download icon changes to an install icon.  Click on the install icon to begin installing BeeTV.

You will be shown the list of permissions that BeeTV requires.  Scroll down until you see the option to install and click Install

BeeTV will begin installing

When BeeTV is finished installing, select Done and click on it.

You will be back at the Jailbreak App Vault apps list screen again.  Press the back button on your Fire TV remote to exit out of the app list screen.  You will be asked if you want to leave.  Click Yes

Now, back at the Jailbreak App Vault code screen, use your Fire TV remote to move up to the top of the screen and click on the little trash can icon up at the top right.

You will be asked if you want to empty the trash.  Click Yes

Then click the back button again to completely exit the Jailbreak App Vault.  Press the home button on your remote to go back to the home screen of your Amazon Fire TV device.  Then long-press the home button again like you did before and choose apps.  Let’s go back to the apps screen and look for BeeTV.  It will most likely be at the bottom of the list because you installed it last.

Let’s move it up to the top.  While the BeeTV icon is selected, long press the SELECT button on your remote.  It’s the big button in the center. You will see a message come up on the screen that tells you to press SELECT again to drop the icon where you want it.

Move the icon up to the top and then press SELECT to drop it there.

Now, if you go back to the Home screen on your Amazon Fire TV device, you will see BeeTV in the front of the list under YOUR APPS & CHANNELS

Go ahead and click on the icon for BeeTV and let’s take a quick look at the layout and a couple of settings I recommend. You will see the BeeTV splash screen for a few seconds.

You will be asked if you want to visit the BeeTV Facebook page.  For the purposes of this tutorial click CANCEL.

You will then be asked to choose which subtitle language you want to use by default.  You can change this in the settings at any time as well.

You will then be taken to the main screen of BeeTV.

Let’s take a look at some of the different screens that are available in BeeTV.  If you scroll down through the menu on the left side of the screen, you will see that there are many views you can choose depending on what it is you are looking to watch.

Scroll to the bottom of this menu until you see Settings and click on it.

There are many settings you can modify here.  One of the first things you will want to do is to get logged into your Trakt account if you have one.  This way you can ensure that your favorites, watched history, etc. are properly marked.

You can also choose what action you want to take when you press play.  Clicking on this setting brings up a list of actions you can choose from.  I like to choose manually each time I click play, because sometimes I want subtitles and sometimes I don’t.  If you don’t want subtitles, you can choose Play from the list and it will just play when you click play.

One of the great features that I love with BeeTV is that it will automatically play the next episode if you are watching a series.  This makes for some easy binge watching.

Another setting that affects autoplaying the next episode, is how many streams BeeTV should have found before it selects a stream to play.  The more streams chosen here, the longer it will take, but the likelihood that you will have a nice stream are higher. You can adjust this to your liking.

The next setting you should decide on is what you want to see when you first open up BeeTV.  I like movies mostly, so I choose Movies here.  You can make your own choice here.

If you like seeing what’s upcoming in a series, you can leave this setting as default.  But if you want to hide those episodes that have not aired yet, just check this box.

If you decide you need to uninstall and reinstall BeeTV for any reason, you can easily back things up before you uninstall and then restore them after you have reinstalled.

If you are worried that BeeTV won’t hang onto your settings during an update, you can select to automatically back up all your data before updating.

Now let’s get on to watching something. For this example I want to watch Vikings.  Click on Vikings.

You will see the overview screen first.  You can just click the play button here to jump right in, or you can select Seasons at the top of the screen to go to a particular season.  I’m going to do that to show you how to select a particular episode.  Scroll over to the right and select Seasons.

Here you will see all the seasons for Vikings

Click on the season you are interested in watching.  In this case, I want to watch Season 3.  You will see all the episodes of season 3 and a short synopsis of the episode.  Click on the episode you want to watch and BeeTV will start searching for streams.

The streams are somewhat sorted.  First by the provider, and then by quality.  You will find over time which providers work best for you.

Click on the stream you want to watch and it will start playing.

That’s all there is to installing and using BeeTV.  I’m sure you will find BeeTV to be an invaluable app to add to your arsenal of streaming apps.

Please take my advice and ALWAYS use a VPN when using ANY of the streaming apps I write about.  It’s not worth the trouble of getting a copyright notice from your ISP.  And your privacy is always of the utmost importance.
