MX Player is a free media player for Android and is the best choice if you are using Terrarium TV to stream movies and TV shows.  If you don’t already have Terrarium TV installed, you can follow our tutorial How to Install Terrarium TV (ad-free) on Fire Stick.  Also, don’t forget to check out our Ultimate Fire Stick Streaming Setup 2018 for other great apps to keep you watching movies, TV shows and LIVE TV and sports as well.

Your IP is: Your Connection

Stop your ISP and your government from spying on your activity.  Use a VPN to protect your privacy.  A VPN is an essential tool when you are using any free or low-cost streaming application or service.  Especially if you are using a jailbroken Fire TV or Fire Stick or Android box.  ALWAYS use a VPN if you want the best streaming experience, the best selection of media and don't want your ISP to slow you down or shut you down.  I recommend IPVanish VPN for all my clients and I use it on all my devices.

For this tutorial, we will be using another Android app, called Apps2Fire.  We have found that this is the fastest and easiest way to get apps installed on Amazon Fire devices.

Apps2Fire can be installed directly from the Google Play Store onto an Android phone or tablet and then, any app that is installed on that device can be installed on any connected Fire TV device. You will want to make sure that ADB Debugging is turned ON as well as Apps from Unknown Sources.  This is found in Settings > Device > Developer Options.

Install Apps2Fire by clicking this link on your mobile device.

While you are in the Google Play Store, install MX Player.  Then we will push it over to the Fire TV device.

Install MX Player by clicking this link on your mobile device.

Once you have Apps2Fire and MX Player installed, open up Apps2Fire

You will see a splash screen

Followed by a screen showing that it is refreshing the list of local apps.

Then you will see a list of the locally installed apps on the Android device.

Swipe left until you get to the SETUP tab.  Here you will enter the IP address of your Fire TV device. This can be found by going to Settings > Device > About > Network on your Fire TV device.

Once your device is set up, Swipe back right until you get back to the LOCAL APPS tab.

Scroll down the list until you see MX Player.  You should already have installed this in the first steps.

Click on MX Player, and you will be asked if you want to Install. Click Install

MX Player will upload and install to your Fire TV device.

Once MX Player is installed, you will see a message on the Fire TV device that you have a new app, and Apps2Fire will also show you a success message.  Depending on your connection speed, the install process can take a while.  Be patient.
