How to get Free IPTV on Amazon Fire TV or Stick

IPTV providers are everywhere.  Some are very low-key and inexpensive.  Some are big and not so inexpensive, but still a good value considering the amount of content they offer.  One of the biggest players in the IPTV market is Set TV.  We highly recommend Set TV and is one of the recommended apps for our Ultimate Amazon Fire Stick streaming setup. However, Set TV is the subject of a huge lawsuit filed by some of the biggest names in TV and movies like Netflix, Amazon, Columbia Pictures, Disney, Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal, and Warner Bros.  Basically everyone is suing Set TV.  However, the people at Set TV pretty much say they aren’t worried about it.  A company as big as that has had to have thought about being sued in exactly this manner.  Personally, I believe they have had a plan all along.  Otherwise, they would not have allowed themselves to become such an obvious target.  We will just have to wait and see.

Secure Your Connection

Stop your ISP and your government from spying on your activity.  Use a VPN to protect your privacy.  A VPN is an essential tool when you are using any free or low-cost streaming application or service.  Especially if you are using a jailbroken Fire TV or Fire Stick or Android box.

ALWAYS use a VPN if you want the best streaming experience, the best selection of media and don't want your ISP to slow you down or shut you down.  I recommend IPVanish VPN for all my clients and I use it on all my devices.

I wanted to talk a little bit about the mechanism behind Set TV and other IPTV services and how we can try to replicate some of that functionality for free.  Set TV has a great defense for their lawsuit.  They claim that they only point to publicly available streams.  They cannot be responsible for other people’s copyright infringement.  This reveals a lot about where their content comes from.  Apparently, their content is already out there and is publicly available.  Set TV more or less curates these streams so that they offer the best quality streams.  There are other services out there that curate live streams as well.  Mobdro is a great standalone program that allows you to view tons of live TV streams.  Most of those streams tend to be of mid to low quality, but perfectly watchable and a great value for a free service. Check out my tutorial How to Install Mobdro on Amazon Fire TV Devices for more information.

In my search for a totally free IPTV package for my customers that offers higher quality streams, I ran across AutoIPTV.  These folks have been kind enough to offer up their own, high quality, curated m3u playlists that are updated daily to ensure that the links are alive and the best quality.  This seems like an opportunity too good to pass up.  Needless to say, I worked up a solution that is very easy to setup so you, too, can try it out.

Take a look at AutoIPTV.net

Let’s go to AutoIPTV.net and take a look.  Their main page explains a little about what they do.

Click on Playlists on the left to get to the page we will be working with.

If you notice, there are different playlists for different categories.  Normal contains all the channels except adult channels.  You can add the adult channels as a separate playlist using this same method.  Also, at the bottom of the page, there is a little helper to assist you in filtering the playlist by country.  We will be filtering by US channels in this tutorial.

Notice the URL at the bottom.  The key is the ?c=US part at the end.  This will filter for only US channels.   Now let’s move on to installing the player and getting the playlists configured.

Install Perfect Player on your Fire TV or Fire Stick

Perfect Player is available in the Amazon App Store.  It installs just like any other Amazon App.  I won’t go into the installation itself.  Once you have Perfect Player installed, continue on to the next step.

Setting up the m3u Playlists

Perfect Player opens with a splash screen.

Since there are no streams set up, you will just see the main menu.  Click on the gear to bring up the settings menu

Once you enter the settings menu, click on General and let’s add some streams

Under the General settings, select Playlist

You will see a screen that lets you enter the URL that you chose from AutoIPTV.

Here I have typed the URL for the NORMAL playlist and filtered it to only see US channels.  I also named it US All Channels

Once you have everything typed in and named, click OK and you will go back to the settings menu.  You will see the US All Channels playlist that we added.  And, at this point, you will see that there is now a place to add a second playlist.  If you add a second one, you will then see a place to add a third and so on.  So you can add more playlists. This is a good place to add the adult channels if you like.

Now go back to the main screen.  You will see that the playlists are downloading and updating.

Once the playlists have finished downloading, you will see the list on the left side.

If you click the mouse left and right, you will scroll through preconfigured categories of streams.  Clicking on a stream will play it.

Overall I found that the most important part of this solution is the player.  The more features and easier to use the player is, the better your experience will be.  So, feel free to try this with other players.  I will be.  The stream quality is very good for a free IPTV solution, although a bit more difficult to use than Mobdro. For more information on how to install and use Mobdro, follow my tutorial here: How to Install Mobdro on Amazon Fire TV Devices

For the best streaming experience, you should always use a VPN.  I recommend using IPVanish VPN service just because it has proven to be a solid VPN for myself and my customers.  I have been able to negotiate an awesome 57% discount on IPVanish VPN service for all my KodiaAmerica readers.  Click here to take advantage of this offer.
