Enabling Installation of Apps from Unknown Sources

If this is a fresh install of Kodi or the first time you have installed a community add-on, you will need to change a setting to allow the installation of unknown sources. Here’s how to do that.

From the Kodi home screen, click the little gear icon in the top-left to open the Kodi Settings

Click on System settings

Scroll down on the left until you have highlighted Add-ons. Then go over to the right and turn ON the option Unknown Sources

Confirm that you want to turn this on by clicking Yes when prompted.

Now Kodi is able to install community builds and other unofficial software.  Be sure that you are only installing the software you trust.
